PAUL KONRAD, WGN-TV MORNING NEWS CO-ANCHOR: It's National Dog Week and we're lucky enough to have JP and Greg. They love each other, but one's a dog and one's a human.  They've been riding their scooter all over.  And that's Larry with his dog, Jasmine, and they're going to race down the hallway.  Are you ready?  On you marks! Get set! Go!  Larry bring it home!  Apparently JP and Greg have been going all over the world or something on their scooter.  Larry has been practicing with Jasmine.  Wow, this is great, Larry, you're doing a fantastic job.  Boy!  Nicely done!  Larry, use the breaks.  Boy, oh boy!  Larry you look good on this thing.  And you're Greg, right?  And the dog is JP.  So you've traveled all over with JP.

GREGORY EDMONT, AUTHOR, “SPOTTED IN FRANCE”: JP, yup.  All over France.

Konrad: All over France.

LARRY POTASH, WGN-TV MORNING NEWS CO-ANCHOR: Wow.

Konrad: And he doesn't mind riding on the front of that thing?

Edmont: He loves it.

Konrad: How did that happen the first time?

Edmont: I was a broke student and it was my only means of transportation and he had to get used to it.  So he climbed up...

Konrad: Wow.

Potash
: What was your greatest adventure?

Edmont: This book.  JP's breeder in the south of France called us to action and it was a coming of age story for me, one of those once-in-a-lifetime adventures and I had to write about it ... and I owe it to him.

Konrad: So Larry has just gotten started riding his bicycle with Jasmine.  What advice would you give to Larry?

Edmont: I think he should get a helmet and some goggles.  Sometimes driving in the countryside JP's eyes get dust in them.

Potash: What was your greatest adventure on this trip?

Edmont: The greatest adventure is ... ahm ... let's see ... actually, picking up a hitchhiking priest, then wiping out with all the weight on one side and JP sort of being the cushion we all fell on...

Potash: That's beautiful.

Edmont: As much as I wanted to promote my book, I'm staying at the W Hotel and when I told them I was on with Larry Potash they were like, "Put the book down.  His dog's going to be there?"  And then all these gifts for Jasmine!

Potash: Ohh!  Jasmine.  You lucky thing!  Thank you!

Edmont: All these treats.  All the W's, Sheratons and Westins take dogs now.  JP doesn't even want to go back to France.

Potash: Well, wonderful.  Wow.

Edmont: And here's Jasmine's new bed from the W Hotel.

Potash:  Well, listen.  Thank you so much.

Edmont: Thank you.

Konrad: We appreciate you bringing everyone on in.

Edmont: And here's her little bottle of Evian before we go...

Potash:  Thank you.
